Product overview:
PetroNexus Kingve OG is an exceptionally high-performance, high-viscosity synthetic open-gear oil designed for heavily loaded, low-speed open gears that frequently operate under boundary-lubrication conditions. These products are formulated with synthetic base oils and retain outstanding low-temperature properties despite their very high viscosity. They can be pumped over long distances and used with standard spray-lubrication systems. High-viscosity-index base oils combined with an additive system provide excellent thermal and oxidation performance and outstanding lubrication of very slow-moving gears at both high and low operating temperatures. The additive formulation also provides effective gear-wear protection and antiwear performance, together with rust and corrosion inhibition. Kingve OG is an advanced synthetic product, rather than a conventional residual lubricant. It contains no solvents or asphaltic base stocks.
Performance:
1. Good flow properties make application convenient and provide effective lubrication across the surfaces of large, slow-moving gears.
2. Thick-film formation and selected additives deliver outstanding load-carrying capacity, antiwear protection and adhesion, helping extend gear life, reduce downtime, and lower maintenance and replacement-part costs.
3. Excellent pumpability at ambient temperature helps reduce pump-replacement costs.
4. Existing lubricant-spray equipment can be used, keeping the cost of switching from asphaltic semifluid grease products low.
5. Lower application rates than greases and less waste oil than asphaltic or solvent-containing products help reduce lubricant consumption and disposal costs.
6. Contains no solids or asphaltic resins and does not form hard deposits at gear-tooth roots, reducing downtime and maintenance costs.
7. The light color helps avoid expensive cleaning before gear inspections.
8. Contains no solvents, helping avoid potential safety problems associated with volatile, low-flash-point solvents.
9. Thick-film formation and selected additives provide outstanding load-carrying capacity, antiwear protection and adhesion.
Applications:
• Rotary kilns and mills in metal mining, cement and limestone production, and sugar mills.
• Low-speed, heavily loaded plain bearings and rolling-contact bearings.
• Conversion from asphaltic lubricants or greases to Kingve OG is straightforward and requires no modification to lubricant-spray equipment. Thorough cleaning of the gears is recommended to take full advantage of the light color of these synthetic products.
Packaging:
170 kg drums; 1-tonne IBC containers.
Unsuitable applications:
• Not suitable for enclosed gearboxes; this product is designed specifically for open gears. Not suitable for extremely high-impact, heavily loaded applications requiring solid extreme-pressure fillers. Do not mix directly with asphaltic residual lubricants; thorough gear cleaning is recommended before changeover.
